Tosóidh Rith na Nollag le téamh suas faoi stiúr Amy O’Donoghue, seaimpín náisiúnta rásaíocht tras-tíre. Cuirfear tús leis an rith leis an ranganna Naíonán ag déanamh leath-chuairt na páirce. Déanfaidh na ranganna eile cuairt iomlán. Tá Coiste na dTuistí ag súil le slua mór a fheiscint!
Tomorrow’s Christmas Fun Run will start at 11am with a warm up led by National Cross Country Champion Amy O’Donoghue. The runs will commence at 11:10 starting with the infant classes doing 1/2 a lap of the park. All other classes will do a full lap. Coiste na dTuistí are looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible!

A coffee morning for Junior Infant parents is being held in the Northside Family Resource Centre on Tuesday October 4th at 10am to let parents know about the Incredible Years School Readiness Programme. All Junior Infant parents are welcome to attend, see the brochures below for further information.

We are looking forward to welcoming all our pupils into our fabulously refurbished building this Wednesday, August 31st at 8:30am. We ask all parents to please be patient with us as we implement new procedures and get used to our new surroundings. On Wednesday morning and all other mornings we will proceed as follows:

Staff will be on hand in the morning & evening to direct everyone!
These are all subject to change and again I would like to reiterate the need for patience as we work through the kinks that a change of building will inevitably bring.
We are very excited about our lovely new building and would like to invite any parents wishing to view the building to do so at 1:40 pm on Wednesday & Thursday afternoons and from 8:40am on Thursday morning. Please email riona@gaelscoilsairseal.com to let her know your preferred time & day.

Bhí an-lá ag daltaí Gaelscoil Sáirséal ar an 10ú Feabhra nuair a tháinig an tOifigeach Séamus Shannon, ó Óglaigh na hÉireann chun bratach na hÉireann a bhronnadh orainn. Bhí an-chuid ullmhúcháin déanta ag na ranganna ar fad idir obair ealaíona, ceol agus stair. Bhí múinteoir Edel an-ghnóthach le roinnt seachtainní anuas ag cur clár an lae le chéile.
The staff and pupils of Gaelscoil Sáirséal were delighted to welcome Séamus Shannon from Óglaigh na hÉireann on Wednesday February 10th. Séamus presented us with our National Flag as part of the 1916 Commemoration. All of the pupils had been busy preparing artwork, music and history in the run up to this very special occasion. A special mention for Edel who organised the event.
Bhí garda onóra sa chlós le daltaí na scoile gléasta i ngeasaithe CLG na 32 contae. Sheinn Rang 5 &6 Óró ‘Sé do Bheatha Bhaile ar na feadóga stáin. Labhair Séamus leis na daltaí i nGaeilge álainn agus mhínigh sé na rialacha a bhaineann leis an mbrat agus stair an bhratach. Bhronn sé an bhratach ar Aobha Nic an Leagha ó Rang 4 agus bhronn sé cóip den fhorógra ar Fionn Ó Dochartaigh ó Rang 3. Chanamar ar fad Amhrán na bhFiann agus cuireadh clabhsúr leis an searmanas leis an Foggy Dew agus Mo Ghile Mear.
The pupils donned the GAA jerseys from the 32 counties and formed a guard of honour in the yard. Our 5th and 6th class pupils played Óró ‘Sé do Bheatha Bhaile on their tin whistles. Séamus then spoke to the children about the flag and flag protocol. He presented the flag to Aobha Nic an Leagha, Rang 4 and presented a copy of the Proclamation to Fionn Ó Dochartaigh, Rang 3. We all stood to sing Amhrán na bhFiann and the Choir & Grúpa Ceoil finished the event with a lovely rendition of The Foggy Dew & Mo Ghile Mear
Táimid ar fad ag súil leis an 15ú Márta nuair a ardóidh cara mór na scoile, Máirín Uí Ruairc-Tuathaigh an bhratach dúinn.
We are all looking forward to March 15th when Máirín Uí Ruairc Tuathaigh will raise the flag for us.
