Le cúpla mí anuas tá cuid de Rang 6 ag cleachtadh a gcuid scileanna rothaíochta leis na Gardaí áitiúla agus inniu bhí deis acu rothaíocht stairiúl a dhéanamh timpeall ar chathair Luimnigh. D’fhoghlaim siad go leor faoi stair na cathrach agus toisc gur seachtain na rothaíochta é bhuail siad le daoine ó Limerick Smarter Travel agus chuala siad faoin slí atá feabhas ag teacht ar chúrsaí taistil i Luimneach.
6th Class have been practising their cycling skills with our local Gardaí for the past few months and today they got the opportunity to take part in an historic cycle around Limerick city. They learned lots about the history of the city and as part of Cycle Week & the BeSpoke Cycling Festival they met with representatives from Limerick Smarter Travel and learned about the improvements that are being made to the transport infrastructure in Limerick city.

Ghlac daltaí Rang 3 – 6 páirt in Oireachtas Rince na Mumhan ar an Déardaoin 6ú Meitheamh. Bhí an comórtas ar siúl in Ostán an Southcourt. Bhí na sluaite ann ó scoileanna éagsúla timpeall na Mumhan. D’éirigh go han-mhaith le daltaí na Gaelscoile agus thug siad abhaile boinn agus trófaí. Maith sibh! Ar míle buíochas le múinteoir rince na scoile, Máirín.
Our 3rd – 6th class pupils took part in the Oireachtas Rince na Mumhan on Thursday the 6th of June in the South Court Hotel. The hotel was packed with crowds of school children from all over Munster. Our pupils did very well, bringing home medals and a trophy. Well done! A huge thank you to our dancing teacher Máirín who works so hard with our pupils each week.

Bhí lá iontach ag muintir na Gaelscoile ar an Déardaoin, an 30ú Bealtaine nuair a d’ardaíomar ár mBrat Glas don chéad uair. Bhí ceiliúradh mór sa chlós faoi theas na gréine. Ar mbuíochas le gach éinne a chabhraigh linn ar an lá, go háirithe imreoirí Luimní agus an méara a thug cuairt speisialta orainn.
We celebrated the raising of our first Green Flag in style under the warm sun on Thursday, May 3oth. We had a fantastic celebration in the school yard. A huge thanks to everyone who helped out, especially to our Limerick hurlers who raised the flag and the city Mayor who paid us a surprise visit.

Bronnadh an chéad Bhrat Glas ar Ghaelscoil Sáirséal i searmanas i gCorcaigh ar an 20ú Bealtaine 2013. Rinne pobal uile na scoile tréan iarracht chun an Bhrat Glas seo a aimsiú, go háirithe an Coiste Glas, agus tá timpeallacht na scoile agus an domhan níos fearr as dá bharr. Beidh ceiliúradh mór againn ar scoil ar an 30ú Bhealtaine ag meánlae chun an brat a ardú. Seo roinnt grianghraf den bhronnadh.
Representatives from Gaelscoil Sáirséal were presented with the school’s first Green Flag at a ceremony in Cork on May 20th. This Green Flag is as a result of the trojan effort put in by all members of the school community, especially our Coiste Glas, and our school environment and the world are better places because of it. We will have a big celebration in the school on Thursday May 3oth at noon to raise our flag.
